No countdown clock :-(

Hi Guys,
Feeling the blues. We returned from our last trip two weeks ago and it's a bummer not having a countdown clock to watch or plans to make....

I think the next trip we plan I will do through KK and I suspect it will be just DGF and I. I love the food and wine and so perhaps in 2014 we will do a 4 day stay. I am thinking Yacht club so we can walk to Epcot and enjoy the boardwalk.

So depressing - what are we to do....

Well, it sounds like you're already planning to me and could have a potential countdown clock?

In all seriousness, though, here's how I cope. I tell myself: You just got back and had a wonderful time. However, to some degree the trip was a thorn in your paw (it was expensive, it took a lot of planning and confirming and research to get it all right). Now, you've got that time and money back for a few months and can just relax while you wait to plan the next one. That's money you can spend on clothes, fun things for the house, weekend trips, etc.

Plus, think of all of the things that were different between your last trip and the one you just took? And think of how many new, exciting things there will be for your next trip. But, it takes time for those new, exciting things to be completed. So, you have to wait. Otherwise, you'd be spending a fortune just to see the things you already saw. And, there won't be anything new in the stores for at least a year.

So, in all reality, it wouldn't be THAT fun for you to go back right away anyway, right? It'll be fun in a year - 18 months from now, and that's when you'll plan to go back.

It helps me get past the Disney Depression to think realistically about it and to know that I will be back and I've got to give it time in order for it to truly be a wonderful experience again.

Hope you feel better soon!

Defiantly go through KK I absolutely love Jenell. Returning back to the real world is always so depressing, there has been times when I've cried on the way back to the airport. I have found that my shorter stays are harder leaving, we have found that a 9 night stay is perfect for us. A at then end we are bummed we have to leave but ready to go. I always have a countdown clock, 2014's trip is planned and will be booked before we check out on the 21st. I will get through Christmas and then start looking for flights once those are done, it's time it starting thinking ADR's. I'm always planning a trip home.
