Night of Joy crowds

Anyone know -- Is it crowded during the day on the days that Night of Joy is hosted at MK? We have park hopper tickets and I kind of wanted to go to MK during the day (as in, before it closes at 7 for Night of Joy,) but we can just skip it if the crowds are crazy.

Not sure how crowded it actually gets, but it is a very popular event

I went last year, two years before that and another year before that and didn't see any big crowds during the day at MK. Seems a lot of kids are back in school by then and not roaming the parks w/their families.

We always go during the week of Night of Joy. Early in the day, it has always been like normal. The crowds starting picking up after lunch. I'm pretty sure that the Night of Joy ticket will let you into the parks starting at 4, so most people showed up around then. We generally go to the MK in the morning on those days, and then go someplace else after lunch. In general, that is a great time to be at WDW. The crowds are not bad at all.
