Since we are past the Super Bowl, and heading into the draft part of the year, I thought it was a good time to start a thread dedicated to the 2016 offseason. This thread will cover the Scouting Combine, free agency, the Draft, mini-camps, and training camp. I usually started a new thread for the new season around the pre-season. But until then, this thread is the place to post anything NFL-related!

The 2016 salary cap has been set at $155.27 million. That's an increase of nearly $12 million from last season, and an overall increase of about $35 million since 2012.

Tom Brady and the Patriots have agreed to a two-year contract extension, which would keep him in New England through the 2019 season, if he plays that long. He will turn 39 in August, and he would be 42 and in his 20th season if he plays through the rest of his contract.

Several players are getting the franchise tag, and several are reported to get it before the deadline tomorrow at 4pm ET.

The Eagles have signed Sam Bradford to a 2-year, $36 million contract with $26 million guaranteed. They really don't have a better option for them, but I'm not sold on Bradford. However, I think he can be a very good QB, and could be better with an offense not led by Chip Kelly.

A day after the Saints cut their all-time leading receiver, another NFC South team cut their all-time leading receiver. The Falcons cut Roddy White.
