Next Celebration?

Can somebody for me also, what is going to be the next celebration for Walt Disney World. I mean now since it almost the end till 100 years of Magic. What's next? I also heard that they might keep "Share a Dream come True" for seven years. Thanks

The next thing is just 75 years of Mickey, Some of the new products are really nice.

mickey turns 75 this year (1928) .....most of the new items are out already

75 Mickeys is no celebration--it is just merchandise. The next celebration is probably the rumored global 50 Years of Magic, when Disneyland turns 50, which is rumored to be celebrated at all Disney properties. Disneyland turns 50 in July of 2005.

To each his own, sure...but they aren't doing anything for Mickey's 75th other than selling shirts and pins...and thank God...if I had to sit through the Mickey Mania Parade again...ugh...that song...

Well, I was gonna say 75 years of mickey becuase I have seen a lot of the merchandise. Yes I agree it is very nice. I would think that the 50 years things would only be at DL becuase that is the place it started at but heck, a global celebration would be pretty cool too. Do you think they'll have a formal 35 years of WDW celebration in 2006 or will the 50 years celebration tie over like the 100 years of magic kinda eliminated the 30th anniversary celebration? Those were my original thoughts and I'm gonna have to agree with dogsrule! on this one that 50 years is next.

50 Years was rumored to be global because this park started ALL of the parks...its success certainly allowed for Disney World to come about and rise to what it is today. As for 50 Years overshadowing the 35th...probably, it is bigger, and Disney wouldn't want a celebration from 2005 thru 2007...be a bit much. Of course, 50 Years may not spread to the other parks, anyway...I mean, Disneyland really needs to finalize plans on its celebration first...cuz they haven't done much...

Erik, they have merchandise for every season/year...

unless we get new nametags with a celebration specific logo, there isn't a celebration

nope.. 'Where Magic Lives' is an ad campaign. The nametags are going to be our regular nametags (in place of the Mickey ones)

'Where Magic Lives' is a marketing campaign.

The nametags being issued from it replace the 100YoM ones, and are our regular issue nametags (Mickey/Hometown). And these will feature your hometown as well.
