So my mother in law and brother in law want to go to the 24 hour party next year with DW and I and it got me thinking...will it be on leap day or Memorial Day weekend? Any insiders have thoughts?

Most likely from here on out all 24 hour events will be on the Friday before Memorial Day or at least some holiday weekend.

I'd love to have it move back to Leap Day every 4 years but that's extremely unlikely. (Personalty I think it's a kind of a disaster to have it on an already busy weekend when you could boost attendance at a slower time of year.)

Just wondering- did many stay the entire 24 hrs or did the last visitors standing at 6am (or whenever it ended) come in the evening before? Was the front gates open the entire time?

I really, really hope that they do it on Leap Day next year. While all of the 24 hour events have been fun, I think it makes more sense on Leap Day than any other day.

I've been to the past three events and I heard several people say at all three events that they'd been there the entire 24 hours. My group and I went first thing in the morning when the park opened at 6am, stayed until around noon, went back to the room for a few hours to nap, and then headed back to the parks until 6am the following morning when the event was over. They admit guests the entire time, unless it hits capacity at any point. :)

Thanks. I love the park at night, particularly TL. Was it packed?

This year, for the Coolest Summer Ever, it honestly wasn't too bad. We only waited like 20 minutes for BTMRR (granted, it was pretty close to parade time, but still). The two years prior to that, it was incredibly crowded from Electrical Parade/Wishes throughout the rest of the night. We had figured it would clear out at that point because younger kids would go back to their hotels, but we were wrong. Haha.

Many peoples stayed the entire 24 hours, the park does empty a bit after 2am, otherwise it stays pretty full after 6pm. To my knowledge there were not any closures at the gate.

After last year's disastrous "we don't care and it shows" non-event, they should just not even bother this year.
