Newest Attraction to be Added to the Studios?

Does anyone know what new attractions/rides are being planned for the Studios? Is the Indiana Jones ride scrapped as a possibility? I was just curious as to what the status was on the addition of an E-ticket to that park.

Sorry, I've been away from the boards for a while.

Thanks

There is a Toy Story ride that is similar to Buzz Lightyear that will open this summer.

IJ Ride has been tossed around for years but no official position had been given.

I doubt after the whole Disneyland IJA "Brain-Scrambling" suit, that we will ever get a version of the amazing attraction... But, I wouldn't count any more Lucas/Spielberg attractions out for the studios yet...

Most likely we'll see a Star Tours 2 and possibly some other Disney-Pixar based attractions to go in the new Pixar Place area of Disney-MGM (soon to be the Disney's Hollywood Studios).

I believe that during one ride one person, due to the various shakes and movement of the vehicle, got mild to severe brain injuries.

I don't think it was that serious, but people did experience some neck and back pains and as a result Disney had to tone some of the movements down.

Although I might have read something about the whole "brain injury" thing, I think it was people trying to get something over Disney and it was never proven.

We know Toy Story Mania is definitely coming. There are strong rumors that the backlot tour will be removed and the pixar area will move back in there with a few other pixar related things. There's also strong rumors to suggest that sometime in the next few years we'll get a heavily updated Star Tours. Other than that, I haven't really heard anything more. I highly doubt that we'll ever get the Indy ride although I'd love to have it.

There's also a rumor floating around about a Ratatouille-themed indoor coaster (similar to the Crush coaster in Paris).

Haven't heard about that one in awhile, but since we're throwing out DHS rumors...

While it won't be getting the grand scale redo of DCA, I have a good feeling about DHS right now. I've always enjoyed the park, though, and I visit MGM/DHS multiple times during my trips (I guess I'm in the minority with that one, though!).

I doubt there's any validity to this, since Dinosaur at AK has the exact same track layout and vehicles (with the same jerks and bumps as IJA). If this was any sort of issue with IJA, it would be an issue with Dinosaur as well.

Also, one incidence of mild to severe brain injuries doesn't seem like such a big deal when you consider all of the incidents that have happened on Mission: Space.

It's a Monsters Inc ride

Just was at WDI. They're working on a Monsters Inc ride with the doors and a track above. Not approved yet, but they're working on it.

I was at the studios today, near the ABC Commisionary I saw a few Disney workers coming out with a hard hat, they were exiting the studio near the monster inc meet and greet area was, I dont know if they were imagineers or not.

but this made me thought are they gonna have a new ride in that area near the abc commisionary or somthing.

edit - i just realized, it may be the area for the sound effects (like i never experienced it so i couldnt recall what the name was) that is under rehab or somthing.

Disney has also been trying to get rights to other studios' big movie franchises...they failed with HP....and wasn't the rumor that they were trying to get LotR, but that wasn't going anywhere either? I think, and this is pure speculation, some time down the line if they can't get any of the other big franchises in the park they'll probably bring some kind of PotC attraction (stunt show?) as well as a Narnia attraction (if the movies keep making money)...

I think the name change is a good thing...now if we can get them to gut the movie ride and get something completely new in there....I'd be happy. :lookaroun

If HP is a success at Universal, I think Disney will look to counter that at DHS. Would be real nice, if Disney can seal up a TV deal for Lucas' Star Wars tv show...and open it up for a LucasLand at DHS or something.

It would be great if they got Lotr rights! Excited just thinking about it. And that would definitely be the perfect answer to Universal's HP.

there is definitely something going into the ABC theater. But nobody with out the proper clearance is allowed in that building right now. Not even Mike and Sully. And management isn't saying anything about what is going in there. it's a mystery

There has been two rumors going around non of which i have any validity to. but possibly a ratatouille coaster ala flying mouse. or monsters inc.

But don't really put any truth to that because as usual those who really know anything about whats happening don't say anything. So don't believe people who say they know something as a fact until there is documentation to prove it.

I thought it was a High School Musical sing along thingy going in there. Personally I'd love to see a flying-mouse / indoor ride thats' based on Lost or the incredibles.
