Hey everyone. Newbie here. Have been to DL and CA several times (not since Carstown) so were planning a family trip for this fall. Staying at Paradise Pier or Disneyland hotel...haven't decided.
Anyhow I'd like to know if you guys know when they start the Halloween decorating so we can catch that. We're thinking sept 29 - Oct 3rd or waiting til October 20-24

Thanks guys

I highly recommend waiting until the end of October, and going to the Not So Scary Halloween Celebration. DH and I went last year, and we really enjoyed all of the decorations along with seeing all of the little ones (and not so little ones) dressed up in costumes. The lines for rides during the celebration are MUCH smaller because there are only a limited number of people allowed in the park at night. We didn't bother w/ the parks during the day, and got there as CM were ushering non-celebration people out around 5:00 or so...then you have the park until close. It was a pretty sweet deal...and do try the trick-or-treat lines, but go on rides first because the trick-or-treat lines were pretty darn long. You could walk straight through trick-or-treats and still get all of the goodies by 7:00.
