Does anyone know if there any Disney things around NY (could be in another state, as long as its a drivable day trip, so like no more than like 5 hours of driving...) ?

I know theres the Bway Plays, the Times Sq Store, just wondering if anyone knows of anything else that is lesser known? It could be anything, a museum, a store, a building Walt hang around haha.

If not, anyone know something of a similar feel? Like Hershey or something?

Thanks all :)

You could get your photo taken with a fake Disney-looking character in the Times Square area . . . for a fee.

hahahaha... those guys are the scariest. everytime my mother sees them she is like "leigh ann, are you SURE those arent official characters?" ..."MOM, i dont think disney would allow their characters to wear backpacks and hold tip jars, for crying out loud!!!" ...besides the fact that they are just horrible!

Great question, NYC is packed with things Disney and things that remind you of WDW.

For example, there is an Earl of Sandwich near Times Square if you want a taste of Downtown Disney. There is also Babycakes NYC in Soho.

If you miss Epcot and Futureworld go up to the Rose Planetarium at the Museum of Natural History. It looks just like Spaceship Earth.
For World Showcase, go to 9th ave in Hells Kitchen. There is every ethnic food you can imagine. There is also Naples 45, an Italian pizza restaurant owned by the same people who run Via Napoli. Pretty much the same experience. There is also Shula's Steakhouse in Times Square and Il Mulino in the Village like at the Swan/ Dolphin Resort.

Go to the Bronx Zoo or Central Park Zoo if you want some Animal Kingdom.

There is Lion King, Mary Poppins and Newsies on Broadway if you want some Hollywood Studios.

You could also go out to where the 1964 World's Fair was in Queens and walk in Walts footsteps.

And of course there is Starbucks if you miss Magic Kingdom :)

These are a just of few of the many Disneyesque things to do in NYC.
