New Year's Eve and Day

Hi, we are heading to Universal for NYE and Day this coming holiday. I don't see any info posted on UNI's site about it yet. Anyone have any history/experience they can share?

Universal doesn't do much of anything for New Year's. I'm not even sure they even keep the parks open until midnight. There's usually some sort of party/celebration in CityWalk but to get into the core of it you have to pay extra. Because Universal doesn't do much, it doesn't actually get that crazy on New Year's Eve. It'll be very busy, but not like the WDW parks.

Universal only does the private party in CityWalk. They used to have fireworks but the neighbors complained. Their big 4th of July show got axed for the same reason.
