New WDW Commercial

Has anyone seen the new Disney World commercial that features a dog? Promoting the "dog days of summer." The commercial was really cute, however why were half the images from Disneyland?? Dumbo clearly had water running underneath him, not WDW's cement pit. And there was another image of the Astro Orbitor from Disneyland, not Disney World's version.

Putting together a big commercial I am sure they have images of one of their most visited parks. Why did they choose Disneyland images? Anyone who has ever visited Disney World would easily recognize it. It was so obvious that when the commercial began I thought it was about the 50th Anniversary, promoting both parks, but then it just ended "Walt Disney World"

Going cheap for no reason. They should have plenty of WDW images.

This is just like the merchandise all over the parks now, that says both "Walt Disney World" and "Disneyland." Some "strategic planners" probably thought they were saving money, but along the way made things less unique and less likely to be purchased (especially when the SAME merchandise is all over the parks now, instead of unique to the land or park or resort).

Short-sightedness is the reason, plain and simple. A little "cost-saving" that cheapens things.

They show Disneyland's:
Astro Orbiter
Dumbo
PotC
the dog runs across a bridge with hearts on it and you can see Sleeping Beauty's Castle behind the bridge
and at the beginning of the commercial, it is a bad edit with the dog running through the hub, you see Sleeping Beauty's Castle and then it cuts and goes to CIndy's castle

Definitely bad show!

I can see why it was cut and edited though, imagine how many takes it took to get the dog to do what they wanted it to do.

I have it on Tivo, now to transfer it over to my digital camcorder and onto my PC and over to Popkid...

...to be continued...

These days they could have easily edited the backdrop or the dog, digitally, if necessary, to put him in front of the right castle....

I personally think it is a very cute commercial. I don't really care what park the little guy is in. He IS dreaming you know. In dreams we can do anything. Maybe this is his fantacy park. :)
