Mama Odie to Appear in Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Plus More Updates

To make room for this new magic, Splash Mountain at Disneyland park will be closed starting May 31, 2023, so we can begin the next phase of development for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

• Brand-new cast of original Disney characters with distinct names and personalities
• Dozens of entirely new Audio-Animatronics figures
• Adorable critters with incredible talent, bringing the diverse flavors of musical gumbo found in New Orleans!
• New, original music alongside favorite tunes from the film
• Do you love beignets as much as Louis? Well, you’re in luck because the alluring scent of beignets being prepared for the party will be part of the attraction queue!
• Additional talent voices from the film reprising their roles, including Bruno Campos as Prince Naveen, Michael Leon Wooley as Louis, and the one and only Anika Noni Rose as Princess Tiana

The new, larger audio-animatronics look like they'll probably be Tokyo B&TB level. That's pretty cool!

Hoping for that but also super concerned at how the A1000s will age given it's a water ride.

You can have the most beautiful animatronics & effects in the world, but it doesn’t save a bad/lackluster story or a lack of good planning & development put into said concept, not to mention the lack of understanding the fundamentals of themed entertainment design along with the original ride itself and why the story & music worked so well.
Also, as others have pointed out. The issue in how they’re mixing completely electric AAs over pneumatic ones, which’ll only case more problems down the line maintenance wise than anything Splash Mountain did.. what a disaster.

Thanks for the warning. Wednesdays work best for my friend so I booked it now in case it sells out. Should be an interesting visit. And no, I will not be in line. Even if it's hot.
