New Theme Park Idea for Disney Land

My idea for a new theme park for Disney Land, I think, is really cool! It would be called Oceans of Exploration. OOE would have five sections:
1. Mythology
2. Technology
3. Mystery
4. Recreation
5. Nature

The Mythology section would have Greek, Egyptian, and Norse Mythology. The Technology would be like a mix between Tomorowland and EPCOT (kindof). The Mystery section would be like Sherloc Holmes and stuff. The Recreation section would be sports, horse back riding, etc. And Last but not least, the Nature section would have Nature Walks, Nature Info Classes (kinda like the movies in EPCOT about the countries and the Tree Game in Inoventions) and etc. Tell me what ya think then I'll post more!:sohappy:

Expand a little though. Originality is key. Also... what does the overall theme have to do with the whole oceans thing going on in the title. One last thing... I love that your park doesn't tie around one central theme (Epcot- learning, discovery; Disney Studios Florida- Movies; Disney's California Adventure- California). We need more parks with a spread out theme.

Bad news. It's called Tokyo Disney Seas, that's if your talking about the real oceans, but if you arn't, I would change the name.

Yeah... that was my only concern. But it's only a matter of the title. Or at least, that's how it appears. His 'lands' seem to be orginal. So far.

Thanks!!! This is like my first idea that people have liked! lol!!!:lol: But, when I said Disney Land, I meant the one in Califonia, not Tokyo Disney Seas or whatever you said it was called! Well, there would be about 2 restaurants, 8-14 rides, and 4 shows in each section. I havent came up with what the names and stuff r gonna be! I'll post all that later!:sohappy:

He was referring to Tokyo DisneySeas, meaning he thought that your theme may come too close with the whole seas thing going on.
Tokyo DisneySeas is the most amazing park. It would be nice to build something to that caliber here in the states. But, sadly... here in the good ole U.S. of A. we have these pesky little things called budgets. But what can you do, right?

ith the name youve given the park its really made my brain frazzled... Oceans of Exploration...... i dont ge it. Do you explore Oceans? (i'm not being sarcastic either)

And then with the oceans park i think water etc like disney sea, and youve got a very large amount of stuff taking place on land about the land and not sea...

First I have to agree with the others and ask how the Oceans tie in to any of this.

And yes a diverse themed park is good, but there still needs to be a central tie-in theme, Disneyland started out as themed to Walt's shows and movies then slowly morphed into Imagination it'self, so even if you have differently themed lands you need somethin to tie them together and if that is Oceans(which you have not clearly shown) I still fail to see how Oceans re-late to your descriptions of the land.

Secondly, Personally the themes of Technology seems overdone already and recreation just seems to limited and not really appealing to me but that is just my personal opinon

Nature, Mythology and Mystery sound good but really Mystery and Nature are so vauge you could almost tie them into Mythology and simply have mythology as the sole theme of your park or keep the three seperate either way would really work out quite well, I think.

Disneyland has NO space left. That's why there's Disney World!

It could be a new park in WDW, or it could be a part of that Disneyland Ohio bit......

And how about World of Exploration instead?

Hey! I'm finally back with some responce to what you all have to say about OOE. I like Figment Dream's idea about tieing it all together into JUST mythology, but I still want the Recreation. Your right also, Technology has nothing at all to do with the other categories! So take it out. Now we are down to:
Mythology
Nature
Mystery
Recreation

The Mythology park would have mainly Greek and Roman (classical) Mythology. The Nature would be kindof like "The Land" and stuff like that from EPCOT. Mystery would be Sherlok Holmes and etc. And, last but not least, recreation would be like Disney's Wide World of Sports complex, except without as many fields/courts for each sport. Tell me what you think!


OH YA!!!! Also! I have decided to change the name to Worlds of Exploration!

Ummmm, the rest sounds okay, and it is an different idea to incoprerate a sports complex into a theme park, but I realy doubt many people plan to pay a theme park ticket price to play basketaball....

If you want to add a sports complex to DL fine, (personally I don't really see the point unless you can add ensetives like a Disney Flare) but keep it speerate from a park, you are mixing two different guest mentalites that just don't match.
