In what will likely be no surprise to anyone, Star Wars Battlefront is getting a season pass. The $50 bundle includes four add-ons to be rolled out over the coming months.
Those who want the whole experience can nab the game’s ultimate edition, which includes all of the content from the deluxe version (ion grenade, ion torpedo, DL-44 blaster, ion shock emote, and victory emote) and the season pass. The ultimate bundle also comes with an exclusive “shoot first” emote and two weeks of early access to DLC.
Also announced today are three new modes available when the game launches this November. In Droid Run, players will chase and capture the trash can-like GNK droids. There are three on the loose in these smaller maps.
Cargo is a capture the flag style game type. The twist is that you don't need to have your own stash at base in order to score. There are a total of ten points in the match, with each team starting with five. Scoring increases your count by one and lowers the opposing team's by the same. Matches are 15 minutes long, and it only matters who is in the lead when the clock expires.
Finally, Hero Hunt is a Star Wars game of tag. One player spawns in as an iconic character, with the other seven as troopers on the opposing side. Whomever kills the hero respawns as that character and the chase begins again.
You’ll be able to play Droid Run on all four planets (plus Jakku in December). Star Wars Battlefront will be out on November 17 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
