As an Imagineer at heart always thinking of new rides and attractions, I have come up with a new concept for simulator attractions. Imagine a show building where inside is a circular dome, inside that dome is a circular track which is suspended in the air. Now all along the left and the right sides of the cirlce are
giant omnimax domed screens which on both sides go all the way around, now imagine a vehicle that holds say 24 passengers suspended from the track above but at the same time has hydraulic arms think of it as a suspended motionbase. Now even though the screens on the sides are stationary, their is a screen infront of on the top and on the bottom of your vehicle that move along with the track therefore allowing forward motion of the vehicle. When all the images are projected onto the screen in syncrocacy your whole vision is completely immersed in your surroundings when 3d and 4d features are added to the ride you've got something that would even put Spiderman to shame.
Their are several themes you could throw around with this attraction and several ways to go about the whole ride system and setup, but it would definitely be the most immersive experience a park could provide to date!
