New Shoes

Just bought a very expensive (for me anyway) pair of running shoes. Serious Star Wars training starts in 2 months so I have plenty of time to get them broken I during light training.

: ) Despite what public opinion seems to be, running ain't cheap, that's for sure. I find that the sweet spot is usually about 50-75 miles on new shoes before a half or longer race. You don't want to break them in too much, but everyone has their own preferences.

They are Brooks. Here's a picture. You can see my cat approves.

I'm quite pleased with the color. I went in determined not to rule anything out because of color and focus instead on fit and feel. It was just a bonus that they ended up being a color I might have chosen if that had been my criteria.
