new RFID wristband question - are they magnet-sensitive like the KTTW cards?

Sorry if this has already been asked. I have read about magnets affecting KTTW cards, so I always try to keep mine away from anything that might de-magnetize it. Just wondered if the wristbands will/could have similar issues? I was thinking....it's not a problem to store a card (credit, KTTW, etc) in a purse/bag section away from a magnetic fastener, but it would be much harder to keep an arm with a wristband away from the outside of a bag with a magnetic fastener.

(I know, put it on the other arm ;) but I dont' know how much exposure it takes for the magnet to erase the info, and I don't want to waste time standing in line to have my card/wristband replaced)

Thanks!!

The RFID chip itself won't be sensitive to a simple magnet.. but I believe the KTTW cards are supposed to have a magnetic strip on it still (a CM mentioned about swiping them still..). So you still have that angle.

The wristband should be fine.. unless you plan on sporting some rare earth magnets :)

Thanks so much! I didn't think about the RFID chip rather than a magnet strip muteki - duh

Actually I do sometimes wear a bracelet with magnets to help my joints (though probably not the type you refer to flynnibus) :) but I could certainly leave it at home .....or just wear them on differnt arms.
