I think a lot of the refurbs on the list are behind the typical schedule because of COVID.Interesting. Jambo and Kidani last had soft goods in 2016 so I'm very surprised to not see them on a list that goes out to 2024.
Resorts like BLT were due in 2023 and have been pushed back a year. AKL would have been due at the same time so are probably next.Interesting. Jambo and Kidani last had soft goods in 2016 so I'm very surprised to not see them on a list that goes out to 2024.
Poly only by a little - they opened in 2015 and refurbished 6.5 years later if my math worked right. VGF I think did. Ones like SSR took extra long too.Resorts like BLT were due in 2023 and have been pushed back a year. AKL would have been due at the same time so are probably next.
Poly jumped the queue, and I think GFV too, impacting others.
But BRV is nearly done so they can get them done quickly if they want to!
I never understood stuff like that because the members pay for the refurbs. Disney isn't saving any money by dragging their feet.Resorts like BLT were due in 2023 and have been pushed back a year. AKL would have been due at the same time so are probably next.

No but a shortage of labour &/or supplies will affect it.I never understood stuff like that because the members pay for the refurbs. Disney isn't saving any money by dragging their feet.
Well now I'm nervous because I just booked for August.I’m wondering what’s happening with the BCV refurb. I know they started, and it looks like the Queen Murphy beds are being installed. But I don’t know whether they going faster than expected or if there’s a hold-up?
A whole lot of rooms just opened up for February and March.
Mattresses, curtains, fresh coat of paint (sometimes), new flooring (sometimes), new wall art. Recently, soft goods refurbs have included replacing pull-out sofa beds with fold-down Murphy beds, but historically furniture was not included.Sorry for my ignorance, but what is a soft goods refurb?
Thanks!
Thank you!Mattresses, curtains, fresh coat of paint (sometimes), new flooring (sometimes), new wall art. Recently, soft goods refurbs have included replacing pull-out sofa beds with fold-down Murphy beds, but historically furniture was not included.
A hard goods refurb replaces all of the furniture (beds, dressers, nightstands, etc.) and also lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, retiling of bathrooms, countertops, cabinetry, kitchen appliances, etc.
Think of soft goods as "spruce up and redecorate," while hard goods is "gut and remodel."
There are no hard and fast rules about what makes the soft goods cycles. Sofas may or may not be included, carpet may or may not be included, paint may or may not be included, etc.
They're due in 2024 but nothing has been confirmed yet. Bay Lake Tower is the other one due in 2024, but that one is confirmed.I’m hoping AKV get the room refurbs in 2024. kidani is getting work done on the roof and external work so maybe Jambo House later on and room refurbs next year.
I think they are on the last batch of rooms now, so any available rooms should be done already. Certainly lots of reports of people getting refurbished rooms recently.Hoping they get the BRV refurbs done since we will be there next month.
Have you seen any room tours?I think they are on the last batch of rooms now, so any available rooms should be done already. Certainly lots of reports of people getting refurbished rooms recently.
Not videos, but there are photos on some sites.Have you seen any room tours?
I've only seen this one so far - quite short and it looks like he might be trespassing, but it gives you a good idea of the 1 bedroom refurb:Have you seen any room tours?
