New Planning DVD Release Date?

We have 2011, 2012 and 2013 and there's no discernible difference in the content. We wanted to show them to the kids to give them an idea of what the parks are about, but the footage is so choppy and fast, with virtually no discussion of the different attractions, that it was all a blur to them. Even the resort section was so fast-paced that we had to constantly pause to even figure out what we were looking at, and it included footage from other resorts mixed in with ours.

We had better luck with looking on Youtube and showing the kids a planning video from around 2005. Although some of it was outdated, it provided a much more pleasant and clear "education" on what Disney World has to offer.

Thanks - however - I agree with the comments above we just end up ordering as part of the vacation "ritual" - it used to be nice when year to year there were updates and my daughter used to enjoy some of the years where they had kids running around the parks with Disney cell phones and "discovering" the parks.

I enjoy the newer ones, for what they're worth, as well, even if they're a downgrade from the older ones, which had a better narrative flow and slower pace.

I once made a suggestion to WDW about the planning DVD (proposing that they consider adding a "we're going to Disney World" video Easter Egg so parents could use it the DVD as a tool to announce an upcoming vacation to their children if they wished -- there's a cottage industry for such videos, using copyrighted Disney footage and images, that I would think WDW would want to discourage). In "thanks," I received one of those "we don't want your unsolicited ideas and therefore we've destroyed all evidence you ever made a suggestion to us and slaughtered every employee who might have read your e-mail" nastygrams from the legal department.

Bring back Erin, Dave, Luke and Stacy!

They stopped sending them to the UK.

Dear God no!! Luke made me crazy. I swear I wanted to smack the crap out of his over acting face. How many times can one a-hole jump into a camera lens and say something stupid like "gnarly dude!" while throwing up a surfer sign? I think he was going for a record. Seriously, what demographic was that idiot supposed to represent? I have known plenty of teens to twenty-somethings from many states in this country. None of them have ever acted like Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgement High. He would have been tolerable if he had just stopped trying to connect with a youth that doesn't exist anymore.

Well, i was 14 when that came out, so I guess Luke's demographic was teeny bopper girls, 'cause i had a mjaor crush on that guy :D (Not proud of it)

I personally loved it. Just thought it was a cute introduction to the park. :)

A new one would be nice though and for them to actually DELIVER to the uk would be nice. Annoying that they isolate over sea disney goers just to save a few $$$

I have seen all four of those actors in other things which is always funny. Erin had a role in a sitcom for a hot second before it was cancelled. I think it was on Fox. Dave does quite a few commercials. I forget what I saw the other two on. Luke wasn't annoying. You know someone from Disney made him jump around like an idiot thinking that's what kids did.
