I don't think so, as the timelines were much quicker on that. This seems to be something pretty significant.@wdwmagic any chance this project also encompasses the new DVC lounge?

Interesting permit today. Contractor is Whiting Turner Contracting Company, one of the big contractors and the expiration is 8/31/2025. Might be for this project.

That’s gonna put all those people on the fence on ft wilderness over the topI don't think so, as the timelines were much quicker on that. This seems to be something pretty significant.
That's on the wrong side of the Tortuga-Pecos complex to be a retheme to Tiana's Place/Orleans Square.Looks like tortuga tavern has permanently closed leaving adventureland with no quick service option for hot food
we miss those taco salads with the fixings bar. if i remember it was a good price for what u got.Did the spring roll cart kick the bucket too?
IMO, Tortuga Tavern became irrelevant once they quit serving Tex-Mex, which was some time after 2014. I know it came out of the same kitchen as Pecos Bill, but when some of the items were simply moved to the PB menu, there were some changes made to them and they weren’t as good as they used to be. The taco salads and burritos at Tortuga Tavern were always good and the portions were large.
Oh that one might be on the shelf with Thunder Mesa and the Greece pavilion nowThat's on the wrong side of the Tortuga-Pecos complex to be a retheme to Tiana's Place/Orleans Square.
Too many times encountering loud drunk people at Epcot is the reason I care.I think I've ordered maybe 1 drink maybe ever at a theme park. Freedom of choice is a good thing, even if it's overpriced and watered down.
I will never understand why people care so much what other people do.
Yeah, that's the issue I see with alcohol at the parks. It doesn't seem to be as bad at Hollywood or AK though.I wouldn't want it to become like Epcot
BrazilOh that one might be on the shelf with Thunder Mesa and theGreecepavilion now
Seems like a neat idea with lots of potential, so I hope this is done well and done on a larger scale than Olga's at SWGE. Like Tomorrow Land Terrace this area was just dead space for most of the year.I don't think so, as the timelines were much quicker on that. This seems to be something pretty significant.
Could they be sprucing this side up in prep to shut down Pecos? That's on the wrong side of the Tortuga-Pecos complex to be a retheme to Tiana's Place/Orleans Square.
Worlds busiest theme park with multiple QSR locations closed.
Pirate bar.....I don't think so, as the timelines were much quicker on that. This seems to be something pretty significant.
There will be food, too. The question is: how extensive of a menu?Pirate bar.....
This is absolutely crazy to me. They have what, like 6 total QSR places in the entire park?
Yup the only inside info I’ve heard about this project was that “it’s going to be larger than people realize” which makes me believe it’s here and not in the old Pirates League space. But we’ll see.Pirate bar.....
So exactly what I thought..not lacking for any dining capacity whatsoever.Casey’s Corner
Main Street Bakery
Eggroll Cart
Sunshine Tree Terrace
Sleepy Hollow
Columbia House
Liberty Square Market
Pecos Bills
Golden Outpost
Pinocchio Village
Gastons
Friars Nook
Cosmic Rays
But Pecos is not becoming Tiana's Palace, per @ToTBellHop ?Earlier plans had Tortuga opening to replace Pecos as it went down for the Tiana's conversion. While rumblings elsewhere still say something is happening to Pecos, it looks like they might be trying to get the pirate bar open first.
