Disney has apparently signed with NECA (National Entertainment Collectibles Association) to create realisitc action figures from the hit movie POTC: The Curse of the Black Pearl. There are two different series to be released. Available now is Series 1 including 7"-tall action figures of Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Captain Barbossa and a Cursed Pirate. There is also a talking 18" tall Jack Sparrow figure out there. I found all 4 of the smaller action figures at a local SunCoast store for $11.99 each.. I've heard they are also available at Toys R' Us and Spencer's, among other places.
Come October, Series 2 will be released including Elizabeth Swann, the two goofy Pirates from the movie, and a skeleton version of Barbossa.
