New Orb Picture

My nephew (now age 5 ½) has had a "ghost friend" since he was about 2 years old. His friends name is Herchy and according to my nephew - came from the Haunted Mansion to live with him because his family didn't want him anymore. Please keep in mind, our last trip to WDW was my nephew's 26th trip in his short life and we live in Virginia so he knows all about the Haunted Mansion, which is his favorite ride!

On our last trip in January - he stated before we left MK, we had to stop and pick up Herchy in the Haunted Mansion before we went home that day. As usual, we said we would. On our way around the MK that day, we were walking along the back path from Space Mountain to Toon Town on our way to get Herchy at the Haunted Mansion. When my nephew(who was walking with his mom and my mom) asked where we were going, we said to get Herchy because we are going home today. He stated, we didn't need to go there he was already with us. About the same time, I called my sister (because I was riding in my nephew's stroller!!) And she turned around and took my picture. Please tell me if that is Herchy to the upper right!!

Look just over the fence line there is one real defined orb and then another faint one.
No other pictures taken with this camera had any thing like this in them.

Weird story. Although I have many pictures like this in my collection because dust or some water got on the lens. Happens a lot to me.....unless all those dots in my pictures WERE ghosts!

Kids are so cute and it makes you wonder if these imaginary friends they have are ghosts or angels or etc....Hey you never know

The picture does look like a reflection.

if you believe in ghosts, then yes
if you dont believe in ghost, then lens flare

not sure myself....................... about the ghost thing. i will say that i have had numerous accounts in my life with the stuff. good and scary. i wish i could have some better evidence.

IMO it could be 2 things

1) Behind you there are some Mickey Ears with almost the same color as the orb color. This could be a processing error or camera error, the ears reflect to a different point, making the apperience of an orb.

2) Dust, plain old dust or water in your camera.

Its lens flare. Sun appears to be from the west (left) side of the camera.

If the sun is to the camera's left - then how are the very faint shadows on the ground to the stroller persons right? (Over where the train tracks would be?)

Just wondering....

Because when the sunlight comes from the left, the shadows will fall to the right of the camera. Thats how these things work. When you have an object between a light source, like the sun, it will block out the light and leave a shadow.

In this instance, those shadows appear to be from the trees.

dave, off the topic but interesting, have you ever studied the pictures from the controversial moon landing. there is a site that takes each photo and explains why the light is doing what it is doing, why 2 shadows in certain situations, etc etc.

pretty convincing for the doubters. ill try to find the site. i think it might be in my favorites at home :veryconfu

Never seen the site, but im also convinced that most people will believe whatever they want to believe, irreguardless of the truth, reality or fact.

Photodave back to a point brought up by a fellow member. If the sun was coming from the left the shadows would have been on the right of the camera. I agree with you on that point but the shadows were on the left side of the picture faintly on the ground, my right in the stroller. Also it was an overcast day for the most part. If there were shadows shouldn't they have been to my left as I was sitting in the stroller if the sun was coming from over the railroad tracks?
