My in laws are retired and live (travel) full time in a big motor home. They have found a campground in Orlando and have decided to park for 6 months per year (winter months). They plan to work at WDW during the 6 months per year.

What type of employment status would this give them?
What benefits (discounts on rooms, park admittance, etc...) ?

Thanks:wave:

they would be considered seasonal cast members, getting free park admission. Alot of old people work at Disney, it's what alot of cast members refer to them as snowbirds. And they like to keep old couples working together, when I woked in merchandise at the studios, there was a sweet old couple that worked there together. Hope this helps.

Yes thanks-I like the idea of them working together. Do you know if, as seasonal workers, they would be eligible for hotel discounts and park passes for family?

They get a few comp tickets per year and they would have some sort of hotel discount. Cast Members can buy discounted tickets at Company D, but the discounts are only a few dollars...nothing significant.

They will be starting this September. Will they be able to use these perks right away or is there a waiting period? Specifically, they wanted us (grandkids) to visit soon after that so will they be able to book a discounted hotel room and get the guest passes right away?

Thanks again
