New news about Big Thunder

I dont think it Big Thunder is going to be closed because themparks.com shows the rides that are going to be closed for the next couple of months and Big Thunder isn't listed.

Although I dont think its SCHEDUALED to close (yep..I cant spell), it has been having a few technical problems latley..and it may go into rehab a tad bit early...who knows...id much rather be safe than sorry

technical difficulties

I dunno if this means anything, but when I was there yesterday (jan 12) it was closed for "technical difficulties" im pretty sure it opened later in the day though. gosh with everything closed (and the very short-to-no wait lines i was done in magic kingdom by 11 and the park opened at 9!)

I'd like to see Big Thunder ride...but breakdown...not stop, but ride SLOWLY, and therefore see everything...it goes so fast...you can hardly see anything in the town scene...

I actually think it's part of the strategy to not tell in advance when a ride will be closed. Think about it. If you knew a few months ago that Splash Mountain would be closed when you wanted to go, you would be tempted to change your travel dates. I feel bad for the people there now who made their plans months ago.
