I have always wanted to see a new movie (not straight to dvd) with Mickey,Minnie,Goofy,Donald,Daisy,Pluto ECT. I think that the last movie that was like this was the Goof Troop movie? I wouldnt care if it was hand drawn or not but have always wondered why they wont do this? Does Disney think that Mickey cant sell anymore?

I would love to see this happen and dont know why Disney wont do it so the only answer that I can think of is that their older core characters wont sell. What do you think?

Technically...For Cartoon fans...The last time all the Characters were together would be "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". The Goofy Movie only has 3 Cameo's 2 By one character which is Mickey and the other is Donald.

If you look at the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes Films..Space Jam & Back In Action They tried to bring back the classic characters to the screen and yet for some reason something didn't click..The Problem was that they tried to make the LT's more Kid Friendly and not to an Adult approach or we would have seen a PG-13 rating to the films. Yet during Roger Rabbit it had a PG Rating it was Dark and fit well with the violent images of what us kids of the 80's grew up with.

Although I wouldn't give up hope of not seeing any of the classic characters in theaters..There's a "Rumored" Movie called "The Search For Mickey Mouse" would be in theaters in 2012...http://www.bcdb.com/cartoon/25094-The_Search_for_Mickey_Mouse.html. But, I wouldn't hold my breath since the plot seems a little corny that The Great Mouse Detective has to find Mickey...But for now The best thing we have right now is the shorts that have been added to the theaters such like Goofy's "How to hook up your Home theater" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2f2Vgo5wdHY which was for his 75th birthday and played in front of National Treasure 2. And the upcoming release of A Cars Toon: Tokyo Mater in front of Bolt..

There is the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Disney Channel. I admit, I watch it with my kids. The whole gang is there. Of course, I think I would like it better if it were more of a classic style of animation. You know, with lines instead of CGI models.

Heck regardless of original characters, how many animated movies has Disney released in theaters lately without Pixar?

Yeah not many, only at least one per year for the last ten years...

Not saying they are as good as or better than Pixar but they do exist.

I can't really think of any though. You figure, Tinkerbell went straight to DVD, all of the newer Princess movies (sequels) went straight to DVD. I think there's a new princess movie in the works (I think The Princess and the Frog) from what I heard, but who knows?

As much as I love Mickey and would like to see something like this happen, I don't know if people would want to pay 10 bucks a seat to see them in theaters. A lot of people would probably say "I'll just rent that" thus making Disney think it should just be straight to DVD in the first place.
