The new movie at the China Exhibit called Reflections of China opened today and it is a nice update. Disney used it's Magic to blend some of the old movie which is 20 years old with new footage to produce a great 12 minute movie on China.

Definately a must see at EPCOT!

I might have to check it out. In all of my visits to Epcot, I've never attempted to see the old movie even once! :(

It's too bad that you missed it, the old movie was really good. I can't wait to see the new movie. I'm glad it opened before our trip.

Thanks for the update - we will be sure to check it out this summer! We always loved the China movie, but it was very outdated.

Yeah, we just were never in the mood to see a movie (non-ride) every time we were there, but I'll make a point to check the new one out next time.

I saw Reflections of China today. It was a beautiful mix of original footage and new footage. I got chills several times, and not because of the air conditioning!:animwink:

BTW, Tianamen Square is mentioned.:)

I was in the second group to see the movie and I really enjoyed it. I particularly enjoyed the images of Hong Kong (from day to night) and the images of Macau (especially the church facade...since I visited it when I was a kid). It worth the visit...something new, something good :animwink: .
I managed to film it, but it's mediocre. I'll try making a video...but I'm sure it'll be a while before i actually get it up. :p

Had the privilage of seeing Reflections of China yesterday and I was very impressed. The film was way overdue for an update and this one is a definate winner...

A very solid 12 minute bit of "Edutainment"...

See you at the temple :)

Hey! Canada better watch out - if they're changing the film, they're keeping the song! :animwink: :fork: :p

So basically, it's the same style film? How is the music? Narration? How is it more entertaining? :)

Thanks!! :D

Yes if the song Canada (You're A Lifetime Journey) is not in the new version I will consider the film a failure. No matter how good it is. Come on they took away Tomorrow's Child, both Universe of Energy songs, It's Fun To Be Free, Listen to The Land, etc.... so they better not touch Canada and Golden Dreams
Nothing better than old Epcot music.

Just to let you all know, the Canada film WILL NOT be changing! It will remain the same.

The theater is going down for just a few days for a minor rehab (routine maintenance, cleaning, etc.).

The "O Canada" film will remain untouched.
