New member....trip planning help needed

I have several questions, so here goes

1. We are a family of 6. Since having our 4th child, the only place we have stayed is AKL in a 2BR suite. I really would love to stay at Polynesian again, but I don't think this is possible with 6 people, right?
2. Prices for AKL are outrageous, but I don't want to stay at a value resort like Art of Animation. I don't know what othere options I have?
3. We have rented through Dave's in the past and it seems the only reasonably priced option, but I'm curious if anyone has any other suggestions?

We are looking to go either early December, or waiting until May 2016

Thanks!

Oh...and one more thing ....I could stay at Polynesian by renting 2 studios, but could I get them to be next to each other? I just love the Polynesian and being connected via monorail...

Welcome aboard -

My only suggestion if you're watching prices, would be to rent an offsite villa. Less money but no EMH, travelling further daily and FP only available at 30 days.

I believe most (if not all) the Poly studio DVC units have an interior connecting door. If you have young children, Disney will do whatever it can to make sure you have connecting rooms.

If your 4th child is under age 3, you can all stay together in one room, occupancy is 5 plus a child under 3 in a pack and play.

You could do a bungalow at the Poly, but thats pretty pricey, even at point rentals. And keep in mind that early December is pretty popular for DVC owners, so you might have problems finding a 2BR at some places.

As a party of 6 for a guaranteed one "room" stay I think you are limited to 2BR (or 3BR) villa, a Fort Wilderness Cabin, AoA suite, or ASM suite. Some places do have connecting rooms, however with 2 adults in your party they won't guarantee connecting rooms, although they will do their best. (They expect you to be able/willing to do 1 adult with 2 kids in each room)
