I'm not sure where to put this, but would it be possible to include a link to the individual forums (the News and Rumors and General Discussion) like the old page used to have, instead of the links to the individual threads?

Not a big fan of the new front page and the layout. Im not really liking the menu system. I know the Alt tags have to be on somethings, but I would like them not to show up on the top nav.... they cover up whatever that menu item is.

I hope this system doesnt last long.

I see what you're saying, yeah they should just have the alt tags but not have them display on mouseover. That way they don't cover the menu, but they are still there for those that need them.

I hate to be "techy" and nit picky, but when you do this for a living... you notice things like this and it drives me crazy. :D I like the old interface where everything was in front of you.... not a fan of extra clicks to get to a list of attractions in a certain park (they use to be listed on the front page). Hey, if im in the minortiy here, then i can easily live with it. If everyone is happy then im happy

Thanks for the iphone tip. Usually, i figure things out by making beautiful mistakes.

The new site has been a good year in development, and taken a tremendous amount of work, so it's going ot be here to stay. :)
The previous site layout was not at all scalable to cover all of WDW. There is now way that the previous flat structure could handle several thousand detail pages, all with their own galleries, videos, text descriptiopns, and things we have lined up for the future.

The alt tags will move out of the way as soon as you move the mouse down to the sub-menu, so that shouldnt causing you a problem.

If you like to see the full list in one go, go to http://www.wdwmagic.com/sitemap.htm
When you see that, you will understand why that can no longer be on the front page. The old site covered about 50 attarctions, shows and resorts. The new one covers getting towards 2000.

Steve, now you must know how the Disney Imagineers feel. Change will always bring on complaints.

Whether the change is for the good or not, there will always be people who prefer the old "classic" way.
