Hi! I’m writing this year because I’m fairly new to WDWMagic, saw the New Inagineer Introduction thread - but couldn’t figure out how to post there.
I’m a retired gentleman, always intrigued by all things Disney. As a way of introduction, I build animatronics as a hobby. Control is through a proprietary language (which I created), A-Code or Animatronic Code, which allows non-deterministic actions as well as coordinated actions.
My background is varied.
Finally, when my children were in elementary school, I ran a Haunted House as a fund raiser. When I started. It would raise about $3,000 a year. My last year, a decade later, I grossed in 6 hours, $28,000 - Twenty Eight Thousand Dollars! With expenses of $5,000, the PTO had $21,000 in their budget. We were handling ~2,000+ guests an hour.
It took me three years and six visits, but January 2020, I finally snagged a reservation to Dine With An Imagineer!

- I was an IT professional since the late 60s.
- My avocation has been theater for 50 years. I’ve done everything except costuming. I was a Technical Director for a local HS.
- I’m also a Model Railroader.
- I built a summer house for the fam.
- I’m a published author (nothing significant though)
