New Ideas

I have been going to Disney since I was three years old at least once a year so I know my way around Disney and all its greatness. But this December trip it will be just me and my girlfriend instead of the whole family. I am trying to think of some different things to do with her that I normally don't do, such as character meet and greets maybe a character breakfast or something cute like story time with Belle...

What I have planned so far is a date night to Jikos and the candlelight proessional dinner package... Anyone have any thoughts? I thought about Jellyrolls but don't know if it would be busy on a Sunday or even open as something to do when we arrive our first night...

Sorry for being so long winded...

Not sure when you're getting there, but you could always go for something like the Magic Kingdom Dessert Party, or the Illuminations (Epcot) dessert party. They're a little more exclusive and you get a nice place to watch the fireworks :-). I'm going on my honeymoon to Disney in February and I've just got some nice dinners scheduled at a couple signature restaurants and I'm considering grabbing a fireworks cruise if you're wanting something more romantic.

Good idea from abunch06 with the private and romantic fireworks cruise, but the only element I would add is to make it a surprise for her! Don't tell her anything! Start you day with Resort Hopping and then end your day at The Grand Floridian...Take a SUSET stroll around the Grand Floridian to take in the sights of architecture, walk along the white sandy beaches, look lovingly into her eyes while telling her how beautiful she looks in the moonlight, tell her you have a surprise(or an idea out of the blue), wrap a beautiful scarf (that you purchased earlier)for her to wear on the boat to stay warm around her eyes. This way the cruise will be a surprise and the scarf will be a nice, thoughtful gift. Walk her onto the boat blindfolded and sit her down and have a glass of something ready when she takes the blindfold off. Tell her that even though this is a place that holds many memories for you, you want this to be a memory that will last a lifetime...you and her on a boat in the middle of the 'ocean' watching fireworks that were just for you and her! OR if that's too much...maybe have her dress up as nice as she can(you too) and take her for a stroll around Showcase Lagoon (EPCOT) and end your stroll on the promenade at France for a ROMANTIC dinner by candle light, and then enjoy the fireworks as you have dessert and sip wine! OR Take her to the Boardwalk Resort and enjoy a stroll there with Jellyrolls and then head over to The Atlantis City Dance Hall and cut rug! THAT will be memorable and different! OR let the kids inside of each of you come out and go to dinner somewhere on International Drive and then to Dave and Buster's for some drinks and games!! OR have dinner somewhere off property(a lot of offerings) and then spend a night at Cirque! Or simply take in a dinner and a movie at Disney Springs AMC! You have a multitude of experiences to choose from with Disney and I Drive areas, just don't limit yourself to Disney. If you have any request, Disney can and will make them something magical and memorable for both of you...at a price of course! Hey, maybe with all this romance flying around it would be a good place to PROPOSE!!??

I would strongly recommend the Holiday Sleigh Ride at Fort Wilderness!! Each sleigh holds 2-4 people, so it'd be just you and her. They take you around to see all the lights and holiday decor! Definitely a must do!!
