Greetings all! First trip to Disney World was in 1977, and the second was around 1979. We began taking trips as a family for the first time in 1988.
My mother was the ringleader. I guess she was around 50 then. She had the bug worse than anyone else in the family and it just kept snowballing from there. At first we would go about every 18 months, then it got to be once a year. We always stayed on park property. I've stayed at the campground, the Tree House Villas, Port Orleans Resort, back in the day when Port Orleans was the French Quarter, and Dixie Landings was well, Dixie Landings!
We've stayed at the Contemporary, the Polynesian, and Old Key West Resort. We have a brick at the Magic Kingdom and a 16 year old daughter that has been so many times she could be a park guide. So, that's my Disney background. I just joined up to talk with other Disney nuts, and maybe give back some of the stuff we've learned along the way.
