New FP+ rules

So with the announcement that you will now be able to select more FP+s at the park kiosk after your pre-booked FP+s have been used, my question is whether it is best to pre-book your 3 FP+s for earlier during the day. I am asking this because I'm still really confused about the new system and it seems to me that if you pre-book your FP+s so that the latest one in the day is in the afternoon or evening, then the Fastpasses for popular rides will all have run out so you won't be able to use this new opportunity? I have not yet pre-booked fastpasses for our trip and am just wondering what the best tactic is. Sorry for the long-winded question but any help is appreciated!

Yes, for now, it would be in your best interest to book your 3 pre-arranged FP+ as early in the day as possible. Especially if you want to park-hop, since that eats up a lot of time.

You can still get same-day FP+ for attractions, but the odds of getting something you want after noon are slim.

I think the the next two months, we'll get some feedback regarding same day availability of 4th and 5th FP+.

If it seems like some good attractions stay available for later in the day, then it outta be a good strategy to book earlier FP. If not, then it may be wise not to bother counting on it.

I could see TSMM, for example, as an attraction that won't have a lot of 4th FP+ availability.
