Got the family new annual passes last night and was wondering how the free parking would work for the first time going. I know we would have to bring the e-certs to get them activated at a guest service counter but would the e-certs count as a temp pass to get the free parking that first day or would they reimburse us or would it be easier to just go to Disney Springs to get the card?

Just bring the certificate and show it at the parking gate and you will be fine

If they do make you pay for parking, take the receipt with you and they will issue a refund when you get your actual passes.

Thank you to you both, that actually makes sense and helps us out a lot. Planning on heading up to the parks this weekend to get these passes activated.
