New film for China

I hadn't heard anything about it, but I think its great. Having lived in China for a while, I would certainly agree that the movie needed updating. The China that people in the US think of, is not the real China that exists today. Maybe this new movie can help show people the "new" China.

Things over there were certainly way different from what I expected when I headed over. Shanghai especially is a large and bustling city that you could pick up and drop into any European country and have it fit it (except for the millions of people on bikes, of course). Heck, we had coffee at Starbuck's weekly and ate at McDonald's and Pizza Hut on a few occasions. Chinese college students walk around in NY Yankees t-shirts and ask how they can get accepted into a US MBA program. I must say, things are certainly changing in China.

I find this refreshing news for the China Pavillion. Maybe there hope of updating other CV360 Film around Epcot or maybe even possibility that there could be new life for the old CV360 theater at MK with a new production to replace TK If they ever decide to use the space full time

Hmmm... a new 360 for Timekeeper... I like it, should we go all out and add effects to the theatre this time round. Smells or lasers, or Interactive elements (like Rain)? Don't want to do too much though, or you would have people tripping.

I am very happy to hear about China's update, the first sign of many things to come for EPCOT. I can't wait, this is like a kick off of sorts.

I'm looking forward to the new Movie in China.:sohappy:

I enjoy seeing films about other countries and their cultures.

Speaking of which...Does anyone know if Canada ever got their new 360º Movie? They were supposed to get a new movie last year, but as far as I know, it hasn't happened. :(

Like a lot of people, I suspect, I've never been to China, so the movie has greatly influenced how I envision that country. I think an update is a great idea, because even the colors of the old one were starting to look faded.

However, don't let them mess with "Impressions de France!!!" I really love that movie, not only because the audience gets to sit down :) , but because of the absolutely terrific soundtrack that accompanies it.

I COMPLETELY AGREE!! I love that film. It totally makes me want to go to France every time I see it. I swear if they sold plane tickets at the exit, I'd be in Paris every other week!

Only if they've been smoking pixie dust  ....not that I'd know anything about that. :animwink: :zipit: :D

This is really interesting, because from all the roumors going around, it seemed that Canada's show was going to be new. Then suddenly we find out that China is getting a new one. I noticed from the article that this was more of the production company's project rather than Disney's.
