New Fantasmic Scripts

I really like originality and the Fantasmic concept is something that could be shown in so many ways.

Heres the plots I came up with and how the climax/finales would differ:

  1. Mickey is having fun in his dream/imagination. The Disney Villains, secretly plan a way to destroy the mouse and abduct all of his friends between each scene. CLIMAX- When it comes time for Mickey to face Maleficent he gets pushed around and seems to not have a chance....Thats when the lights reveal that Mickey's friends (Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy) are traped on top of pillars. They cheer him on until he has full strenght - enough to raise that wall of water around Maleficent and point his sword. FINALE - The steam boat goes around as usual, but Minnie Daisy Goofy and Don are on the stage. Fireworks stay the same. (This is intended for DHS or TDS)
  2. The world is slowly losing imagination, and Mickey shows all coners of his imagination to give a taste of what the world should be like. The log cabin place would fit this plot because he will show what could be imagined in a dull place like that. CLIMAX- Anyway, he soon travels to the scary part of his imagination where the Villains want to exploit the fact that imagination is scarce and try to take over. after being thrashed a bit, he remembers that it is his imagination and becomes a hero. the fanale is the same (this is for Disneyland)
  3. The show could start of as a real studio show and Mickey would beat a fake dragon near the climax. CLIMAX- Maleficent sees that Mickey "killed" a fake dragon that looks similar to her and gets offended and unleashes heck upon Mickey, the cast and the director... Mickey has to find a way to destroy her using all the props he can find.....including the Sorcerer hat (i dont really like this one but it would be an attempt to rebrand DHS back into a studio park)
so what do you all think?

I think so. Chernabog is popular, but he has limitations. He doesn't speak nor does he undergo any transformation. Maleficent, on the other hand, has a very recognizable voice, and I think having her transform into a Dragon is one of the best showstoppers in Disney entertainment history.

I was just thinking with MGM and going for a movie-making theme that you could incorporate a few external properties. And by that I mean Star Wars. Palpatine would be a great addition to the villain roster if you put him in place of some of the filler material.

Also, I was thinking maybe the Disneyland version could bring Dr Facilier in as the one who really kicks off the transformation of Mickey's dream into a nightmare with his Friends on the Other Side. Fits the New Orleans Square setting, plus could bring in a streamlined version of that "Legion of Doom" feel in the WDW Fantasmic by having villains come in mask form during the song.

^ i like the Dr. Faci- however is name is spelled- idea!
Star Wars though? It would be interesting but i cant even imagine how that wwould fit in the storie of fantasmic. could you elaborate a little more?

But now that we're thinking of fillers.....Kingdom Hearts would fit very well. (i really love the games)

Come to think of it though, Fantasmic doesnt belong in DHS at all!
Maybe when fantasyland gets a real expantion (see my other post) it could be moved there and DHS could get a new show

Technically, starwars doesnt belong in DHS either. it should have its own mini-land in tomorrowland.

Back to the point, the pocahantas scene could be replace with a mulan scene possibly?

I was thinking in terms of turning the DHS version of Fantasmic into more of a story about Mickey and friends working on a film project about the power of imagination.
So you'd have the rejected 20,000 Leagues sequence in place of Pocahontas and when the villains take over, they grab Mickey's production crew and start sending him into a few different places, one of those stops being Return of the Jedi and maybe an Indiana Jones or Pirates based thing as well before shifting gears back into animation and having Mickey be brought into Sleeping Beauty and having to save his friends from Maleficent while in more "Prince Phillip" inspired gear.

Now thats cool! Dont sue me but im proposing that exact idea to Disney if i become an imagineer.
Since your idea is movie inspired, would it be possible to have different preformances for the unimportant sceens each time it shows at night? that would probaly take a lot of choriography
