New Dumbo Testing

I think this february opening is looking more and more realistic, which is very exciting.

I dunno, when I look at that video of unifinished queue without a roof and lots of construction junk all over the place, I see an April opening for Dueling Dumbos and Circusland Phase One. There seems to be a lot of work left to do to have it open in just five or six weeks.

But I absolutely love the design of this new Dumbo. I love the carved elephant heads on the finial topper in the middle of the ride. Very nice! :sohappy:

I agree. I just love the gold on it. It makes it look very elegant!

Nope, the 1 dumbo spinner that's being tested now will open in February. The 2nd spinner won't come online until later in Spring/Summer... the exact date has been posted on here before.

Now I doubt the entire queue will be open in February, but they can still constuct the final queue while a side line is open to ride. Also the train station will be open in February along with the 1 spinner.

That was the first thing I notcied. Astro Orbitor is the only spinner now that goes clockwise. Every other one is counter (Carpets, Dinos and Dumbo)

I guess it all depends upon your point of view. From the ground looking up or from the air looking down.

This is so exciting! I know it's been asked a million times, but are both spinners going to be new? Will the match?

The second spinner will be a refurbished version of the existing one, so it will not be new. I assume they will re-paint it but I don't know if it will get the same topper as the new one.

It's looking pretty good! And the concept art did hint that one set of Dumbos was going to go clockwise. This must've been that set. One question, though: is the structure itself pretty much finished and are those storks going to be the highest part of the structure or are they going to add Timothy to the top?

I would think that the current one would be refurbished and redressed to match the new one, it would be pretty ugly to have the new style sit next to the old style.

From this model shown at Destination D, it looks like the storks are the highest point.

As long as the old one was completely re-painted I wouldn't see a problem with the topper on each one being different. If nothing else it would provide a way to easily refer to the spinners, the Timothy spinner or the stork spinner.

Judging from this model, it also look like there will be water under the Elephants, to answer everyone's questions.
Either water or just an empty trench beneath them..
