I really think that WDW needs new ways of tansportation. Here's my ideas.
-A subway would work perfect. There can be stops at every resort and theme parks, and one at Downtown Disney. This would be the easiest way instead of those buses.
-Get rid of parking lots. Parking lots are one of the worst things. Trams are always packed early in the morning when everyone arrives, and that creates problems. Many people are even forced to walk all the way to the gate. I believe Disney should do what Universal did-parking garage. Parking garages not only save space but also save the hassle of walking to the gate from a mile back. The garages also save space, which can even give room for the park to build new attractions.
-Stop running buses. The buses are too much of a hassle for the parks. Repairs and gas cost a lot for the hundreds of buses they own. Keep a couple for the non-Disney on-site hotels. Sell the rest off, make some cash.
-Monorail connects everything. The monorail should be extended to go to everything in the Walt Disney World Resort area, which includes all resorts, parks, and entertainment areas. Right now,the monorail only connects a few resorts and Epcot and the Magic Kingdom.
-No Transportation and Ticket Centre. The TTC is basically useless except for the fact it's Magic Kingdom's parking lot and that's where you buy your MK tickets. The ticket buying process could easily be moved to the front of MK before the gates. The parking lot can be transformed into garages which can save a lot of space and even allow a new theme park to be built on the lot land and part of the Seven Seas Lagoon, maybe a copy of Tokyo DisneySea. The garages could be for both parks and a monorail can be used to connect from the MK garages to the Magic Kingdom. The monorail for Epcot is useless, barely anyone uses it since they park in the Epcot parking lot.
-Offer more transportation across the lagoon. Many times the ferry is full, and long lines are the result just to get over to MK. Offer more ways to get over. Speed boats can be used for people who dont want the long scenic tour on the ferry and just want to get to the parks. Something to give tourists a thrill, like even submarines from the old 20K Lagoon, can work.
Those are some of my ways that Disney can help its slumping transportation department.
