New Disney DVD - Put me out of my misery someone!

Hi everyone,
Im sat here in the UK dreaming of our Disney holiday in Florida June 07 and have nothing but the HCOE DVD to watch. I need to know what the DVD is like being that i think many people have had the chance to watch it now. Are there hosts?? How detailed is it?? How long does it last?? How much does it show of Downtown Disney?? Pleeeeease could someone be kind enought to tell me all about it as we have nothing over here in the UK - still!

Also - did anyone else in the UK recently order a DVD and get the HCOE disc with a message to say that they'll send you the new YOMD DVD as soon as its out?? Is this reliable - is it better to order again or just wait for them to send a new DVD??

i ordered my new one last week and got it yetsrday only to find it was early 06 one the hcoe one! didnt get a reminder tho about the new one just have to reorder the end of the year

It's a real shame that we are so out of date with the US release. I wonder if it's a Region 2, PAL conversion issue or if we are 2nd class citizens?

Hi all, thanks for your replies, yes it really is a shame that we are so far behind - i mean the UK must make for a lot of Disney World holidayers?? It seems that we get the bum end of the deal freebie wise. I mean the YOMD began almost 2 months ago and yet we're still sat around waiting for the DVD lol let alone the custom maps. By the way guys (from UK) i managed to find (through these very forums) a wonderful American lady who is going to order our maps for us and send them over (as they are only available to US residents) she even offered to pay postage!! I would suggest that you could try the same thing although i think we may have just been very lucky.

So anyone actually seen the DVD??

dont worry about that we havent gotten the new in the us either. i ordered mine over a month ago and got nothing yet. from what i understand there are still a few touchups left before they send them out.:xmas: :xmas:

That's so sweet of her. With the customer maps I think you're only allowed to order them once every so many months though, so we'll have to hope there are more Fairy Godmothers out there!

So did someone mention the planning DVD is due out at the end of the year? Is that official or just presumption?

I feel like we live in the back of beyond in situations like this, but you're right, I'm sure a lot of visitors from the UK attend WDW. But when you compare our size to the US, I guess we become insignificant

Some people have posted that they've finally received there's in the US over the last couple of days, so it should be on it's way!

Yes the maps can only be ordered once every 6 months but this kind lady has offered to use her parents account to order some for us - truly lovely woman. I am hoping that the new dvd will be sent out soon because i got a note with my most recent planning kit order saying that they would send me the new dvd as soon as it becomes available later this year - bit crazy being that the celebration started two months ago hey??

So anyone seen it?
