Exciting news from the Disney Parks blog today:

As we continue to celebrate Walt Disney World Resort’s 50 magical years, we are continuing our tradition of constantly enhancing our offerings with exciting new dining options in the Canada Pavilion at EPCOT! Journey with us to the upper levels of this beautiful World Showcase nation to see what is in store!

Starting in the grand l’Hotel du Canada, we are pleased to introduce The Empress Room. Taking inspiration from the majestic chateau style hotels found across Canada, this new lounge will make you feel as if your are visiting one of these luxurious lodgings during the golden age of train travel, and will be a perfect spot for a drink before dinner at Le Cellier Steakhouse. Dark paneling and rich leathers will keep you cozy as you sip on delicious cocktails made with fine Canadian spirits, like the signature Maple Old Fashioned. For a quick bite, travellers can customize their own charcuterie board or enjoy pretzel bread sticks with the fan favorite Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup to dip.

Across the road, another new exciting venue will be joining the pavilion: The Lunenburg House. This warm and welcoming stone house will host you with east coast hospitality and a focus on Canadian “whisky”. Visitors must also be sure to try the delicious maple glazed pecans available here, as a fireplace and glowing lanterns add to the ambiance of this intimate space. This is sure to be an “eh” plus experience!

While Imagineers have put Incredible time and effort to make these spaces a wonderful addition to the Canada Pavilion’s existing story, the true star of the show will be the Canadian Cultural Representatives hosting you in these beautiful new venues. We hope to share more details with you as we work towards our expected opening date!

Sounds great. A permanent Food & Wine booth that would cover the few months without a festival. Cause the cheese soup and beef need the additional coverage. Although an April Fools joke. This is exactly what Disney would do.

And seating apparently, from the looks of the small room, will accommodate what- 9 people? Get ready for long lines. Forget the $15 fast pass, this could bring $500 per person.

So, not a joke, I was at Epcot last week and decided to walk up the steps and check out the waterfall. Two Disney suits with the CM oval tags walked past me and one said, "I just want the guests to have a good experience." No idea who they were or what they were talking about but they were up on the top level of Canada.
