What kind of new resort?

What kind of resort do you want to see at WDW before the 50'th anniversary?

I want to see something based on Australia (like the Great Barrier Reef).

I want a hotel themed to Fantasia. It'd be a deluxe resort on Bay Lake and be coloured pink and teal, similar to the Swan and Dolphin, actually. It'd have giant pegasus and centaur statues. Something like that. I'd be happy with just another real deluxe resort, though. WL and AKL don't count. They're like, deluxe moderates.

Oh, and, they should build the Asian, Venetian, and Persian resorts like they should've done way back when! The Asian especially!!

Great idea! Except for the fact that, if Michael Graves designs it, some people would be extremely unhappy (not me, of course .)

WL and AKL don't count. They're like, deluxe moderates.

I agree with WKL, but AKL? It's definitely on the level of, say, GF or SSR.

That's a good idea. The original Asian was to have been built on the Seven Seas Lagoon. But now they've gone and built the Grand Floridian in its spot. If they built the Asian behind China or Japan, it would make a good background for that area. Kind of like how the original Asian would've been a backdrop for Adventureland.

However, you must remember that the original plans for Disney's Asian Resort Hotel consisted of primarily and consistently Thai decor and architecture, not Chinese or Japanese. Still, it could work.

I really do like that Asian idea but I would like a Austrilian themed hotel or a old english theme

the asian theme would be different. they could tie in mulan characters, have the resturants based on different types of asian foods.

although a good idea i think the circus thing is kind of covered at the bwi with their decor and pool.

i think your old english/european is a cool idea if they were to decorate the inside in a medevil-ish theme. they could easily tie in the disney princesses like cinderella, belle, aurora, snow white, sword in the stone.

a mediteranian theme would be nice as long as it didn't look like another beach themed resort or the gf with a few grape vines added to the decor lol.

I absolutely LOVE the private entrance from the GCH into DCA in California.

Hi-ho, Kermit the frog here, The Disney-Hampton Hotel would nice in the Hotel Plaza near Downtown Disney. There could be a character breakfast buffet with Figment and Annie (Little Einsteins), like they have with Pluto and Goofy at the Regal Sun Resort. As in the name, the hotel will be owned by Disney, but operated by Hampton Hotels.

The Disney Parisian - featuring the most high-end of Belle Epoque, Beaux-arts style and carefully-kept French gardens

The Disney Mediterranean - basically uses Greek and Meditteranean styles, perhaps with a touch of the Venetian project from all those years ago

Disney's Hollywood Resort - featuring streamlined architecture and lavish 1940's Art Deco details, this would be a great resort for the Hollywood Studios area

The Disney Aquatic - an aquatic-themed resort featuring tanks of fish, bubbly decor and the Coral-reef artistic style of Dale Chihuly

I would like to see a medieval castle themed after one of the great Disney movies. Maybe even a castle from Beauty and the Beast tied into the new FL expansion with an entrance into FL and the Magic Kingdom.
