Disney Parks Talent Casting is seeking male vocalists of all ethnicities for The Dapper Dans, a traditional male barbershop quartet performed at The Magic Kingdom® Park at the Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, FL.

We are seeking performers for possible full time contracts and substitute performers.

Performers employed by the Walt Disney World® Resort are covered under the terms and conditions of a Collective Bargaining Agreement with Actors' Equity Association.

Seeking the following role:
DAPPER DANS: Male, 20s - 30s, traditional Barbershop Quartet. Tap experience a plus.
TENOR: Must sing to high B flat and have great vocal stamina
LEAD: Great lead vocalist, strong leading man persona
BARITONE: Great parts singer
BASS: True bass, low E flat or lower

Requirements:

• Performers must be at least 18 and authorized to work in the United States.
• Please provide a current headshot and resume.
• Prepare 16 bars of a musical selection and provide sheet music, in the correct key, for the accompanist. Prerecorded tracks or a cappella auditions are not allowed.
• Call back by appointment and are held later the same day.

Interesting that a cappella auditions aren't allowed when trying out for an a cappella group.

I wouldn't call these types of casting calls "news". They hold these auditions quite often.

This isn't anything news worthy, they hold auditions semi regularly for the Dapper Dans.

I'm more surprised @Bacon didn't comment on the fact there are auditions for Indiana Jones, showing that the shelf life of that show is continuing.

Interesting that a cappella auditions aren't allowed when trying out for an a cappella group.

It's probably a test to see if the singer can handle sheet music.
