I hope this does well. It only has one good competition-free weekend after it opens before King Kong enters theaters the following Wednesday.

Yeah, it looks VERY very good. The special effects are incredable. I do too hope that it goes well until King Kong comes out.

The one thing Narnia has going for it that King Kong doesn't with its scheduling close to the Christmas Holiday season is the Christian themes in the Narnia stories. Those who've read the books know of the symbolism the story can have if you look at it from that angle and Disney has gone to great lengths to advertise the movie in circles the same way Mel Gibson did with Passion of the Christ. If that marketing scheme works, it could have very good legs even after its opening. King Kong looks good and it is from LOTR director Peter Jackson though, so it'll probably be a very good movie as well.

Maybe that it could be possible that once King Kong comes out, they could be neck to neck in very close at the box office instead of Narna suddenly dropping?

I am so unbelieveable excited for this movie! When I watched the trailer I actually thought those wolves were real until their mouths started moving when they talked, and I'm sure everything will look even better on the big screen.

of course-- I think they still have to put the finishing touches on. But otherwise, it looks sostellar and I absolutely can not wait!
