i saw that during the Super Bowl Parade the Chip and Dale costumes were different. they look to be the same style as celebrate the season but without the articulated head.

here are some pictures:

As you can see it looks like the beige fur on the side doesn't go all around the cheek, and the fur appears to be furrier.
If those pictures dont work LOOK HERE : http://www.flickr.com/photos/76295056@N08/with/6843618201/

They look to be the same as the celebrate the season chip & dale but the heads are not articulated... Will they be using these new costumes throughout the park

No, these are just costumes for the "I'm going to Disney World" parade. Mickey and Minnie have quite a few costumes as well.

I know that ( the same style head was used during celebrate the seasons) but these are not articulated... Will they use them for walk around characters (not in shows)

Chip and Dale really need the "talking mickey" technology they debuted not long ago. I miss the banter between the characters from the cartoons. That would be awesome in a meet and greet!

Well - maybe they just decided they were looking a little older so they had a little nip and tuck.
I hear plastic surgery is all the rage!

Im not one to spoil the magic but.... I think I can explain.

These are indeed the Articulated heads used during the Celebrate the Season xmas show but not turned on so they are frozen in their normal look. Due to a limited amount of availability it was prob decided due to necessity to use the articulated heads because the standard heads are all acounted for at MK for the day. (M&G, Parade, etc...) The cast that did this victory parade are most likely entertainment cast brought in from Disney Character Events and not the normal cast that works in MK.

Do not expect to see the chip and dale costumes switched anytime soon. This was a one time thing.
