New Character Meet Rumour

This one is strictly a rumour that I've heard floating through the grapevine. Several WDW Zoo Crew members, and at least one suit have all said that they may be having Star Wars characters out in the Disney/MGM Studios on a regular basis. No time frame has been given to me, other than "This Summer," but it's something else for the crowds to do this summer.

If it happens, expect photos from me.

Ahh..oic..thanks. I could careless about Star War weekends..it just has something to with character entertainment..I'm all over it..

I went on a Star Wars weekend and there were no Star Wars characters there.... it made me sad, but I arrived at the park right before night sat in so I just arrived to late.

I remember back in the early 90's they had Chewbacca and an Ewok out by Star Tours on a regular basis. I have a hilarious photo of me and Chewy from back in 1993.

Hmm...this would be cool. Isn't the last or the third installment in the series supposed to be out soon? Or is that next year? Drat. Still, it would be cool to take a picture with Queen Amidala in one of her headdress outfit thingies. I just may have to take her down to grab that headdress that looks as if she were wearing a doorhandle.

LOL, the best is Darth Maul! He surprised me, stalking around behind me and then grabbing me around the throat right as they took the picture. I have the weirdest expression in that pic and it's one of my favorites!! :sohappy:

I have one from 1996. I was looking forward to see him when we went back in 2002, but there were no characters there.

Yeah as of right now you can see them during star wars weekends. But if they brought them out for m&g that would be great! And something different to see , ya know what i mean....

i was at MGM end of may during an Star Wars Weekend, and I was exiting Star Tours in the corridor just prior to entering the gift shop area, when i felt something or someone tap me on the back. I turned around and right there was an authentic Star Wars stormtrooper! He pointed at me and shook his hand at me as if i had better watch my step or i would end up in a detention facility in some lonely Death Star some where. Everyone was having fun with it around me apparently he had been stalking me since i got out of the simulator, I took his pic and he then walked off.......i thought this was neat

I hope this rumor is true!!!!! The Star Wars movies are my favorite! I have always wanted to see them in the park. I have never been able to go for Star Wars Weekends (heck I only found out about them a few years ago). I always wish they were out when I walk by. I hope they are still ther if/when I go next year!
