I specifically compared it to Harvest Caye, because that port is different than all of the other “cruise owned ports”.  It was a partnership with the Belize government. The food and drinks are not “included” with your cruise fare. Workers are locals.. local shops, stands, local made jewelry etc..the buildings were made with very strict rules and local supplies.  It’s truly a ”taste of Belize” but a completely sanitized version.. just like Disney tries to accomplish.

The taste, but not the grit.

It should make you want to explore the real thing, not replace it.
