I'm waiting to see how it fairs side by side to the nikon D600. I may end up going cannon since I'd have to get all new glass anyway.

Seems interesting. About what I would have expected for the entry level full frame. I'll be very curious to see some hands on reviews and see some samples. Interestingly, the 5d mark ii price drop to coincide with the release has that as a very attractive "entry level" full frame option.

First impression is that it looks like a plastic toy. It also looks like it's missing 3 or 4 buttons. I don't see the need for this (or Nikon's) 'entry-level full frame' it just seems like a marketing ploy to me.

I'm hearing a lot of buzz... "oh, I can't wait to shoot landscapes with full frame"

I would have assumed in 2012, we would start seeing LARGER formats in digital. Full frame, as impressive as it may be, is still only equivalent to 35mm.

Not really keen on the specs either. Only 11 AF segments, and not many cross type. Only 97% viewfinder coverage also.

It just doesn't seem like the saving over the 5D mIII is worth it.
