The Main Street thing is way overdue. Disneyland definitely has the crowds and the logistics of how to restock the stores and other operational items were figured out back in 1992 since DLP opened with arcades similar to this on both sides of MSUSA.

It was terrible to hear about the CM parties, especially if it came down from people (or maybe person... Meg Crofton?) in Orlando like Al said it did. WDW CM's get things like that daycare, and health clinic and the beach resort that DLR doesn't have. It's indefensible since the crowds excuse is so shoddy and the people that you're lying to are the front-line CM's who know what the crowds are like!!! Not too crowded to shut Disneyland for the Halloween parties or private events!

I was excited to get some confirmation of a few things, though: Big Thunder and Alice will be open for my trip and Carsland and Buena Vista Street are getting really nice holiday overlays. I just have a feeling that the folks at Pixar and Imagineering have a lot of great ideas about what Christmas in Carsland should be. I want to know... what the heck is a Cars Santa like?!?

Oh, and wasn't the GAC thing crazy? 1/4 of Radiator Springs Racers capacity used up by Guest Assistance Cards?

I'm excited that they're going to create a stricter GAC program. Dealing with Guest's and GACs is very hard and frustrating and drives CMs up a wall. I completely know that not all disabilities can be seen from the outside, but the program is abused.

Still very upset about the private Christmas parties.

Got that right about GAC frustrating CMs. While working at Pan, I got called a b*tch once, handling a guest with a GAC and another time, at the same ride, a woman asked for my name because she was going to call her lawyer and sue because of my actions. Ridiculous.

The CM parties situation just es me off. Going to a mix-in is the same thing as visiting the park on your day off. There's no difference and it certainly isn't special! I really hate this.

Heck, the GAC's annoyed me on my short visit. I maybe saw about 10 of them used in one day. All with groups of 4 or larger. I saw one that justified its use, another two possible ones. The rest, well lets just say they were running up the FP queue line in Space Mountain and RSR pretty quickly.

The Christmas party thing just plain sucks, especially if it came down from Orlando.

The GAC story makes me want to get rid of all the line options. We have the standard line, Fastpass, Fastpass +, single rider, handicapped lines, GAC, reserved seating with a dining plan. It’s getting crazy how many different ways people are using to see the same attraction.

Kind of an off topic story. I went to Universal Hollywood during my visit and had to laugh at the people who paid extra for that front of the line pass that they have. The park was so dead that day I walked onto everything without one.

You were lucky. It can get pretty crowded at Universal, especially during the summer and holidays. APers don't usually buy those, so I'm sure they were tourists.
