Net deprivation

Having totally Pete Tonged my other PC by installing XP then discovering no drivers for modem, ive had to endure 4 days with no net access. It got me wondering, as someone who works away from home and has got used to keeping in touch with spouse and sprogs via this thing, how long do you think it would take to start getting withdrawl symptoms?

I am frequently separated from the internet in my busness travels to (mainly) Europe. I get withdrawal symptoms after the first day! As far as your comment about about using anything windows...My sincere sympathy...GET A MAC!!!

I know how you feel I haven`t had electricity since Tuesday I was having DT`S! LOL!

Ya'll should try joining the Army, where you sometimes (during Peace time anyway!) have to go to the field for 30 days at a time!! I won't EVEN go into what is happening now, for a LOT of our servicemen over in the Middle-East. Just think of the withdrawal some of THEM must be going through!

And WHY would ANYONE want a MAC? :veryconfu MOST people prefer a REAL computer! :lol: :lol:

I'm just pulling your chain, jojoyner55. I don't really know anything about the MAC, except when I took Data Processing I in Vo-Tech waaaayyy back in '84, everyone else referred to them as Crapintosh computers. :veryconfu I haven't messed with any, so I can't really say a whole lot about them, except I AM a Gamer, and I DO know they don't have NEARLY as many games as the PC does, so THAT ALONE is reason enough for me NOT to get one! :lol:

I have windows xp but I like it so far. I´m a computer illiterate with a new toy!

I had no electricity for one whole week just a few days ago, and I went into withdrawal on the second day too. But you know, after the 3rd, I was thinking of other things more important than my laptop. The worst part was at nights, when after sunset there was nooothing to do but going to bed early! :animwink:

My dear P installed XP last year ....id say i have got used to it but it took a while .Things seemed to be always going not quite right .....but its ok now...........i was looking for a good divorce lawyer.lol:

Im looking forward to no PC , No work and no phone...............

For those of you who want the latest version of windows, head to Microsoft''s website. They're giving it away until they come out with a final release. Its very similar to XP.

Too inteligent for that, I joined an organisation that sends the officers off to do the fighting The Air Farce sorry force.

I get widthdrawls within an hour. I check my email and different formus hourly at work and at home. Only time i dont have widthdrawls is on vaction or in disneyworld.
