Hello everyone! I returned from the World last night at around 11 PM. We left South Florida Thursday morning at 8 AM, and went to Epcot that day, and yesterday was MK. So I thought i'd give y'all a little update on your favorite parks.
We'll start off at Epcot.......
-The entire park is decorated for Christmas. They've got some red trees at the front of the park in that garden thing between Leave a Legacy. The big white arch structure is up over the bridge to World Showcase, and at the end of it is the big Christmas tree, which has a stage in front and is surrounded by large presents. Christmas decor can be found all around the park. Yesterday started the "Holidays Around The World" event, so i'm sure it was all lit and stuff. If i'm not mistaken Candlelight Processional also started yesterday, i'll be back on the 10th to sing.
-Illuminations: RoE had a very big crowd. I got hit on the side of my face really hard with some fallout, man did that hurt. It hurt for the rest of the night, too.
-Crowds were pretty good, it was packed, but not capacity-like packed. M:S had a 90 min. wait, it said Singles Line was 60, so we took that and waited in line and rode all under 30 minutes. Test Track was busy the entire day, 60 min. in the early afternoon, at night that grew to 75, Singles was 45 min. but again we waited in line and rode all under 30 min. Living With The Land was at 30 min., Food Rocks was walk-on. HISTA had a 20 min. wait, JIIWF was at 10. SSE was 25 min. when we got there, but we went back at 8 PM and walked on. We skipped UoE. Maelstrom had a 35 min. wait, and El Rio Del Tiempo was walk-on. So this can give you a picture of what crowds were like, only the big, major rides were crowded.
-Wonders of Life was DEAD. There was barely any people in there. We walked right onto Body Wars and walked straight into Cranium Command. It was so bad they were BEGGING people to go into Making of Me (I gladly skipped:lol: ).
Now onto MK, which I visited yesterday.
-Christmas decor is up here too. There's a big tree at the front of the park by the flag pole, and wreaths are hanging from Main Street. The entire place is pretty much decorated. They were to have a tree lighting ceremony at 5:30, but we left right before it.
-PhilarMagic was up to par today, we used FastPass because of the 40 min. wait, when we came out if i'm not mistaken it was at 55 min. The Donald Duck AA was working also! :sohappy:
-The place was very crowded, but not like it was during the Columbus Day holiday weekend. Pirates was at 45, Splash was at 30 when we rode at 11:30, but when we came out at 12:15 the line was at 75 min., Big Thunder Mountain stood at 20 when we went into SM, but was 40 when we came out, Country Bears Christmas was walk-in, Hall of Presidents was walk-in, Haunted Mansion was at 25, Peter Pan was at an astonishing 55 min. (when I last went during the Columbus Day holiday, it was at 100 min.), it's a small world was at 40, Snow White said 10, but it looked like 25-30, Pooh was at 70, Indy Speedway said 30 MIN, but it looked like 130 min, Space Mountain said 30, we did it in 15 but when we rode the TTA it said it was at 60, TTA was walk-on as usual, Carousel of Progress was walk-on, Buzz Lightyear was at 55. That gives you an idea of the crowds. Fantasyland was PACKED, you could not get through.
-PhilarMagic has a huge stroller parking thing, man strollers were everywhere near the exit, and it sticks out into the already-crowded Fantasyland.
-Big Thunder Mountain was open today! :sohappy: It was good finally riding it again. Man did I miss it! It looks a lot better than it did.
-I have been on Space Mountain for THE last time. I am officially boycotting it until they give it a big refurb like DL's, so we'll have a smooth ride and I won't need to duck my head. (this'll probably change though, I always change my mind)
-A little story: When we were riding the monorail back to the TTC it was starting to rain. We got on the tram back to the parking lots, and it started to pour. And it was very windy the entire day, and it started to get really cold. Not a good thing for a guy sitting at the end of the row! I got pretty wet, and we had to stay on the tram for a long time, as we parked in Minnie but it started on the other side with the Dwarfs. Thankfully the people in front of us got out and I went and sat all the way in the middle of their row. The rain stopped though while we were still riding, but we were wet and it was cold so it was bad. Then we got to Minnie, and my brother swore we had parked in Chip and Dale, but we didn't, and the tram left to the next stop which was Goofy, so we had to walk all the way to Minnie in the cold weather. It was nice and sunny and just beautiful the entire day at MK. I don't know how the rain was at MK, because it looked like it was heading over there.
-For those who want to know, I went into Merchants of Venus, they still have Skippy and Alien dolls, and Alien action figures. Get them while they still have 'em!
-PhilarMagic is definitely becoming one of the best MK attractions, cause THERE IS NO PM PINS IN THE ENTIRE PARK!!!! I went into every store just looking for one, at the Fantasy Faire store they said they'll have them at the Expo Hall, so I went there and they said they've got em in Fantasyland. I was mad :fork: !
-The Haunted Mansion lines were okay, 25 min. wasn't that bad but we still got FPs for it and went into Hall of Presidents waiting for our ride time. Seeing that I saw the movie Wednesday morning, it was fun trying to find all the stuff from the ride that was in the movie. They really could do a lot of stuff from the movie into that ride.
And Downtown Disney is all decorated as well, they even have a big wreath up on the Cirque du Solei building, and it's all decorated too.
Well that's all I got for now, if I remember more i'll give it to you. Sorry if ISTCrew or someone else has already posted an update, i'm not sure. My next venture to the parks will be December 10th-11th.
