Hi Guys. I need some advice on a trip I have to make from MCO down to Hollywood area next week. We wil be flying in about 10:00 AM and need to drive directly down to Ft Lauderdale. What is your advice on the quickest route, and info on any possible taffic problems. I want to get down there and get my work done so I can back up to WDW for a few days.

You could always take the Bee/Beach line (520) east till you hit 95 then take that south. Personally I hate 95... I would take the Bee/Beach line (520) west to the TurnPike and take it south to Ft. Lauderdale.

MCO is right off 520... you land almost ontop of it. Only slowdown with 520 and the TurnPike will be tolls... 95 will slow down once you get south of Indian River county...

I totally agree. I take the toll roads whenever possible. Yes, it's extra money, and yes, you slow down for the toll plazas, but it saves you time in the end and you can think of the tolls as an extra insurance policy, since there's FAR less traffic than on the interstates.
