I have gone through Davids Rental requesting to rent DVC points November 2020. November 28-December 6 to be exact. They sent me an email yesterday saying they did not have points available for my room request at Bay Lake Towers. The request was for the above mentioned dates and a one bedroom theme park view room.... They asked if I would like to be placed in their queue to see if any points would become available, or just get my deposit refunded. I asked to be placed in the queue in hopes of them finding the points. How long should I wait before requesting something new and or different???? As anyone had success with similar request?!?!?

Keep in mind that early December is one of the busiest times for DVC owners. Don't want to burst your bubble, but you may need to be more flexible. As you are at the 11 mo window, you need to have an owner at Bay Lake offer their points to Davids. If you are willing to try SSR, OKW or AKL, I would suspect your chances of success would increase greatly. Personally, I wouldn't wait for more than a month or two tops before asking them to try elsewhere.

If you want BLT, try a lake view. Some lake views on the west side get partial theme park views. It would be less points so it might work. Waiting too long to try to get a room in Nov/Dec will likely mean you'll lose out as that time books quickly.

BLT is booking out very quickly for those dates. I have been trying to pick up 4 days in early November and not having much luck. I think you are more likely to get someone who could find you points if you go to one of the boards where owners advertise their points. I think a lot of the more experienced owners are more flexible and will work a bit harder for your business. Anyway, whatever you do, get it done as soon as possible because all of those dates are booking out at BLT and the other most popular resorts.
